Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"Stopped by there with my family. After 17 years of working and enjoying fine dining in different environments throughout the US, I know what good food and excellent service means. I'm grateful for my mom and sister taking me there, but I was also thrilled about the very tasty food and outstanding service. Our server was gracious and attentive and always on cue with everything that was needed, almost felt like he was reading our minds. Afinata was out of this world. Also the duck with plum sauce... Finger licking good, as they say. Generally speaking I'm not a fan of soups, but the chef did a great job with the tripe soup and the bean/ ham soup. Will definitely have to come back! Thank you kindly, y'all!"
"This restaurant is opened for 30 years and they have kept the traditional food since then. The place is very nice, they have a rustic design for the restaurant and the terace is quite big. The hotel has a capacity of 30 rooms and it is placed behind the restaurant. The staff are very friendly. I definitely recommend this place for the food. It was one of the best meals I've ever had."
"A restaurant located in a charming village with passionate and forthcoming staff and great food. We’ve organized two events here and have been their clients for some time and the serving, atmosphere and food have always exceeded our expectations!"
"Owner brought out goulash in a flaming pot for everyone to experience. Wonderful atmosphere and great food. Very nice experience. The provided entertainment was a real treat. Thank you."
"We stopped here to eat lunch on our way to Cluj. When we arrived, the waiter said that maybe we could not pay by card but in the end the POS was working just fine. The food was delicious and well made. From soups to second course and dessert, everything was fresh and tasty."
"Had a perfect evening with our friends at Tamas Bistro. The traditional appetizer, the flambé goulash, and the deserts that we ordered were absolutely delicious ( of course we had the traditional pălinca and vișinată). The ambiance, the staff, and the location completed the beautiful experience we’ve had. A 10 out of 5 stars for Tamas Bistro, a place that is a rare find în Transilvania."
"The restaurant is located in a charming little village not far from Cluj. The setting is excellent, nestled in a quiet and friendly area. The surroundings are traditional and homely, which is also reflected in the style of the food. The service was wonderful, and the staff speak English. The dishes we had were outstanding, showcasing a distinctive and well-seasoned cuisine. The owners themselves are involved in serving and welcoming guests, and they are true professionals. In terms of value for money, I found it very reasonable. I highly recommend this place to anyone!"
"The place has a traditional vibe. The food is very good, even tough a bit expensive in my honest opinion. And the menu is quite simple, the variety of dishes is not so big, but it's ok. Regarding the rooms, I can say that they are nice, the only down side of my room was the fact that I think there were termites in the wood pillar supporting the celling, because we heared almost non stop a crunching sound coming from thst wood. Other than this sound, everything was ok, clean room, nice bathroom, ai conditioner (that we did not use) hairdryer, towels, etc."
